We had the tubing custom wound with a high modulus fiber to ensure the strength while making it small enough to clear everything under the car. We had Stephan Verdier test the Sti shaft at the recent X-Games, this was his response: "Quirt and Frank, The driveshaft work perfectly. I like it much better than the aluminum. It has more clearance for the rear diff subframe and in the tunnel, overall a great improvement. I did multiple launch on tarmac when through jumps at full speed and the driveshaft took it no problem. Good product and a beautiful piece on top of it. I'll recommend that drive shaft to anybody planning on racing."
